The Bob Dylan Collection was the second in a series of collections that the client, Jon Polk, Box of Vision, wanted to produce. Since the Bob Dylan Collection was part of a series, Jon wanted to maintain the same structural design as the John Lennon Collection but change the materials to reflect the essence of Bob Dylan’s persona and music.
To that end, Jon spent time pouring over a vast array of fabric swatches, leathers, faux leathers, liners, metallic and colored papers and foil colors to get the collection materials just right, so that they reflected the essence of Bob Dylan. With the decisions on materials completed, ICLA then produced a couple paper samples and produced several wet proof tests, so Jon could be certain he’d achieved the exact effect he wanted.
Comprised of the same components as the John Lennon Box of Vision, a slipcase with a unique magnetic door on the face, the slipcase is wrapped with rough-textured cloth and decorated with a tipped-on image of Bob Dylan on the front and a silk screened silhouette on the back and ends. The box set includes two smyth sewn books… one soft cover and one case bound, and a unique CD binder that contains patented PVC sleeves, designed to hold the complete collection of Bob Dylan’s CD’s and their individual booklets in quick release pockets that allow easy access to the CD’s.
