Nathan William Ogden became one of the pivotal artists during the mid-1960s with the rise of the psychedelic culture, as the artist du jour at the Brotherhood of Eternal Love, Laguna Beach, CA.
Known for his iconic unique style that captures the “Edenesque wilderness, which are neither landscapes or dreamscapes in the surrealist sense, but are windows opening to ‘alternate realities,’ idealized visions in which the world and viewer – becomes more whole; nature becomes a metaphor for archetypal primal states of being where life is united in a spiritual symbiosis.” Bolton Coburn, Introduction.
Spencer Croul of Croul Publications set out to capture the essence of the iconic work of notoriously reclusive Bill Ogden. Known for his vivid and intense color, ICLA worked with Spencer to develop a special set of inks to create an accurate reproduction of Bill Ogden’s original works of art.
“The resulting book is a glowing testament to ICLA’s printing expertise.” Spencer Croul
